It was a moment of great pride for Kapil Mohan & Associates Pvt. Ltd., Chandigarh.., when their first hydro power project of 4 MW capacity was commissioned within 18 months from the date of ground breaking despite 3 months of work stoppage and bad weather conditions during commissioning in December 2010 and January 2011.

PDL was able to commission the plan within 14 months from the date of receipt of the advance despite external delays. This is quite an achievement for both JIRAH SHEP and PDL for having commissioned a power plant in 18 months when there are other taking close to 3-4 years to commission plants of such similar capacities.

Imported Portion inspection date	: 28th Jan 2010

Imported portion at Mumbai Port	: 12th April 2010
Imported portion at Site	: 27th April 2010
First Indigenous supply to site	: 18th December 2009
Last Indigenous supply to site	: 28th January 2011
Readiness of Power house to start the erection work	: 25th June 2010
Pre-commissioning check completed & 26th December 2010 U-II	: 23rd December 2010 for U -1
Note: Snow fall interruption was very prevalent during the month of December 2010 and January 2011 and access to power plant was not possible.
Commissioning of set	: 27th/28th January 2011
Note	: No KEM Engineer at site. By PDL Engineers.
COD Clearance	: 31st January 2011 (14 months)

Note: Erection contractor employed was HITECH Engineering Co., whose Managing Director is Mr. Vishwanathan. PDL is thankful to M/s HITECH for their excellent work and support during erection and commissioning of the power plant.

Note: For the first time PDL used Indigenous make AVR and Indigenous make Governor, which is operating very well with the KEM make Turbine and AC Generator.
